Today's Keynote at the Raleigh Spy Conference
I attended today's sessions at the "Raleigh Spy Conference".
The keynote address was by General Michael Hayden, ex Director of the CIA and NSA. He spoke about the Bin Laden raid in May. He acknowledged today (I believe for the first time) that two of those killed in the 2009 Khost (Afghanistan) bombing were agents that had been tracking Bin Laden for years. The US had lost contact with Bin Laden after the Tora Bora raids until around 2007 when these agents (among others) proposed a new strategy. That strategy lead to the May 2nd raid in Abbottabad. Please remember these patriots among all those that have served the US. Marc |
