I pick up this about a few weeks ago the lady said it was for a small german firearm but i really don't know what it is? There are no marks inside only german eagle insignia &swatstika above any info would really help me figure out what this is.
thanks Hector |
Our local playground had Summer attendants [college girls] who supervised the swings, slides, merry-go-rounds, etc. They were paid by the City, and had weekly craft projects. Making keyfobs out of colored cord was one of them...I forget the name...Boondoggles???... :(
Anyway, you have a children's project. No German craftsman ever did such sloppy work [Swastika on the snap and the burned eagle]. I don't have the faintest idea what it's for, but I'll bet all the money in my pockets that it's a 'fake'. |
 You remember boondoggle? You're older than I thought, Rich....

I can't imagine what would even fit into this home-workshop project. There is a tubular section in front and the larger section is not "pouched" to allow anything thicker than a ruler to fit.

Good one, Norm.
I was also thinking some jokester's idea of a cigar and lighter holster to show off down at the lodge. |
I like that one I guess this is starting to be a joke piece.

The leather pouch itself might be a carrier for a tool of some kind. I don't think that any German company ever used those kind of snaps prior or during WW II (I could be wrong)...So it's likely an American pouch for something that a manual laborer might carry...Maybe surveyors equipment, or lapidary tools, or slot machine repair tools... Are there any marks on the inside that might hint as to the shape of the object(s) it carried??? |
No marks what so ever inside your the pouch your guess is as good as mine?
