Navy Luger Board.
 

I searched about Navy Luger Boards in old threads, but I could not find a good photo of a Navy Board since for some reason the pictures were not visible.

My friend bought a Navy Luger Board and the locking lever is strawed, since I never saw an original board before I do not know if this is correct or not. The disk is marked C/M and infront of the disk there is the serial number, condition is, in my Opinion, very good. Is this correct for this board? I mean the lever being straw colour.

Jan C Still, Imperial Lugers and their Accesories Page 186, does not give much information.

Alf, Yes a strawed lever is correct. I would be happy to look at the stock if you would like to send photo's..

Alf, do you know if there is a serial # on the stock iron? If I can get some good photo's I can tell your Friend if it's original or not.

The serial number is on the wood infront of the disk. I didn't check if thers is serial number on the iron, should there be one?

Alf, I would need to see the number in the wood..I never like anything stamped in the wood except Anchor M or other type Navy indicators. Serial numbers or dates etc are usually a bad sign.
Yes, There should be a serial number stamped in the stock iron..just like an Artillery stock. Will likely have no suffix or an A suffix.
The stock iron or the steel disc is where you see most of the stampings although there are others ...
The type of wood/grain is a strong factor.

Original Navy stocks are hard to find.it took me 8 years to find my first one.

Alf..The Navy stock..It is a little troubling in places. The stock iron for instance. No serial number and awfully new looking. It does fit properly though..The locking lever looks high polish and strong bright straw..Could just be the photo's.

I wonder why a hole was bored into the steel marking disc? Otherwise it looks OK. I don't quite know what to make of it yet...

The 2 rod tops look alright.

The double magazine pouches..the 2 black Navy types are not Imperial but Portugese.
The one with the back belt loop is an Artillery.

Thank You. Yes the locking lever is bright yellow, even I noticed that. The disk is in my opion installed recently, you can see the end of the pin disk on the other side of the boad, but as I said I only saw a couple of navy board, so I can't be judge of this one.
