byf Magazines: Alum. or Blk. Plastic Bottom?

I have been told that either the aluminum or black bakelite bottomed mags would both be correct for my byf 41 (no Suffix). What do you collectors prefer?

If the grips are made of wood, I prefer the un-numbered aluminum bottom magazine. If the grips are black bakelite, then I would go for the black plastic bottom magazine.

Now that's my preference! :)

Because at that stage of the war Germany was hard pressed to fit and finish guns the way they were accustomed to. The Luger was a substitute standard at this point, (The P38 being the new official gun of the armed forces) and near the end of its production life. Magazines really required no fit or finishing to work in the guns so numbering them was not a necessity.
