Welcome Dennis!!! :)

A very nice looking Luger...

The last pic shows British proofs (on bottom of barrel)...I don't think an S/42 toggle should be on a 1918 receiver...Unless an arsenal refurbish???

Straw and blue look...Excellent...for its age...

Well, it looks like it started out life in 1918 as a DWM Luger probably, since it does not appear to have all the excessive stamps you would expect to see on an Erfurt example.

Then in the postwar period it was stamped "1920" to show that it was government property during the Weimar period.

Then at some point the rear toggle was replace with a Third Reich example from a Mauser Luger. It is kind of surprising that someone went to the trouble of finding one that also has the last two digits of the same serial number ("69") on it. But the S/42 clearly shows it is a replacement.

As Postino has pointed out, the British pressure proof on the under side of the replacement barrel shows that this Luger has really been around and seen a lot.

The trigger, take down lever, and safety lever are replacements too.

With the new barrel I would guess it might be an accurate shooter.

Your pictures have done me a great service. I have a 1917 Erfurt with British marks exactly like the ones on your barrel. My gun has been buffed so much in the under barrel area that the NP is slightly visible and the marks over the NP are almost gone. Your gun has shown me what my stamp used to look like. You can see my pictures under "1917 Erfurt" by JCP.
