-   -   Photos from - cancelled eBay item. holster, different, unusual!

For those who are interested, here are Links to the complete set of photos I downloaded from the auction page before it was cancelled. I submit that this stock was made post WW2 because it uses spot-welds as a construction technique... It appears to be a modification of a drawer slide mechanism... Engineering being of particular interest to me, I would like to know more about this apparently unique item.

Anyone who has any additional information on this stock, please post it here on the forum, or if you yave any other photos of this stock, I would appreciate it if you would email me the photos for my Luger photo collection.

Great Photos...Thanks!

Seems to be made up..note use of what seems to be a safety from 98 Rifle in photo #7e and 9a

in #7..lever looks like a safety lever from a P08?

The spool looks like something that thread comes on?

Still an interesting item!

Why the Auction was cancelled...

My note to the seller...

You should be aware that by attaching this stock to any pistol with a

barrel of less than 16" in length is a Federal felony and makes you subject

to potentially a 10 year prison sentence and a $10, 000 fine. You will be

charged with illegal possession of a short rifle, the same statute as

possessing an unregistered maschine gun. For what its worth, there is NO

stock that is legal to attach to any luger except 1900 Commercials, original

carbines, Artillery models and Navy models.

the BATF has heard of this by now.

First, thank you for taking the time to contact me concerning this

matter. This has been removed from auction.

STOCK

STOCK IS PERFECTLY LEGAL IF YOU DON'T HAVE A GUN WITH A LUG

Re: STOCK

Yes, one can own the stock as long as they don't have a gun that it will fit. Human nature being what it is, that condition would not last long. It is better in the long run that these items not fall into the wrong hands for it could really spoil someones day/life. I think the law is ridiculous but I wouldn't want to fork over the cash for an attorney to get me out of the trouble. Tom has probably done someone a favor down the line. As responsible collectors/owners we need to always think about these things to protect what freedoms we have left.

Re: Photos from - cancelled eBay item. holster, different, unusual!

John, Neat photo. This appears to be an updated metal version of an IDEAL stock. I wonder if the pistol would fit inside and if the shoulder pad pulls out further?
