Rich,

Also, they list alot of parts in their catalog which they do not have in stock. I quit dealing with them years ago because of this.

I used to deal with them in the early seventies when on Sierra HWY in Lancaster when I was working at Edwards AFB. Most recently they were willing to make a part for me for a Roth Steyr. As most of you know they fled CA due to all the gun laws, taxes, EPA, etc..

There was a part missing for one of my older guns while back, and I just couldn't find a good replacement. However, after some research I managed to locate a copy of the original factory drawing so I thought I'd call Jack First to see if they could make a new part. The answer was: "No, we can only make the part if you send an original one we can measure, that's the only way we can guarantee that they will fit and function correctly". I assured them that I wouldn't hold them responsible for the function as long as they followed the drawing, and that I was competent enough to deal with minor fit issues. No dice, they just refused to do it. Not much help when the part is totally missing, and I wonder how they can guarantee the fit if they go off a part that's in such bad shape that it needs to be replaced. You would think that it won't get any better than a factory drawing, but they're obviously of a different opinion...
