Any watch collectors out there?

Greeting fellow forum member,
I am in need of a watch expert or watch collector to advise me on a very unusual watch. Do we have any watch collectors or watch expert among us Luger lovers?

Mike, I used to collect and still have mine, but its been years since I had one repaired.

This info is from 2006, but he fixed a watch that belonged to my great-uncle

Greetings Ed,
Thanks for the reply, but fortunately I don't need any repair work. I am just looking for someone to ID this stange watch. Notice the position of the stem. Here a few pictures.

its a Waltham, that sounds silly, but the thing you figure out now is the number of jewels, the size of the watch (size 14, 16, 18, 0 etc) and then what model.

However, yours looks like one of the in-between pocket and wrist watches, they made them still look like a pocket watch, but were designed for the wrist. They even sold huge arm bands, so you could wear your pocket watch on your wrist for a while.

I have a book back home that tells you all of this. Take pictures with you and either go to the library or go to Barnes and Nobles and sit, have a coffee and look the watch up (print it in color first).

Go to the NAWCC website, register with the site(free of charge), and post your pics in the wristwatch section. There are thousands of collectors/watchmakers/clockmaker's/ etc. that will enthusiastically provide quality feedback to a request for information. Good luck, looks like an interesting piece.

Being a retired auto dealer, don't be surprised what I take in trade for a Luger.
