WW2 Luger/Walther Display Case

6 Attachment(s)
Hey Guys - About a year ago when I wanted to buy my first Luger, you were all very helpful in educating me about these fascinating weapons. Well, I ended up getting one, and then a P-38 since it needed a "buddy."

Well, being an amateur woodworker, I couldn't help but try to build something to display my new treasures. Anyway, I hope you might find it interesting....and I hope this forum is OK to post it in - wasn't sure where to put it.

Thanks,

Scott

Scott,
Darn, you make me feel guilty for not doing more woodwork! Your stuff is outstanding! For an amateur woodworker you have some extremely fine cabinetmaking skills. Thank you very much for sharing this terrific example.

P.S. There is some really nice wood in that piece too!:)

Scott! That's fantastic! Really nicely done...Dovetail joints and all..even drawers for the holsters!
Birds eye maple..don't see that often these days!

Really impressive...

Thanks for the kind words guys! Next up is something the the M1 Garand...just trying to figure out the design.

saaismail 05-16-2011 01:16 PM

Gunman - With probably $500 for material (Wood, custom glass, and brass hardware), along with about 60 hours of labor, I'm not sure the price would be appealing...but if you happen to have an extra MG-42 laying around, I'm sure we could work something out! I've been looking for one of those :-)

Duster42 05-16-2011 05:03 PM

Great wood working skills.
I hope you post pic's of what you design for your M1 Garand when finished.
