If You Had A Choice As To Which To Carry
2 Attachment(s)
back in time, which would it be and why?
|
P.38, I like the double action option, loaded with the hammer down. I also like the sights better on the P.38 vs. the P.08, I'm able to pick them out and align the sights faster.

Choice of Carry
I think I would go with the P-38 as well......I kinda like the idea of the exposed hammer....However....I recently picked up an Interarms Mauser Luger with 6" barrel.....and a friend of mine has one with a 4" barrel we are trying to work a deal on.....have considered carrying that......maybe....gotta think on it a bit....
|
well, if you NEED a handgun, you need it fast and you need it to WORK, everytime....as much as I love my Lugers, I've never had my P-38 fail to feed or function....
|
I would go with the Browning Hi Power. Second choice would be the Radom.
|
lew, which thread are you in??
..
|
I would carry them both in a 'tater sack and use it as a club.
|
Is it ok to carry my 1911 ?
Harry |
I would carry neither; leave 'em both in the safe and grab a modern big bore double stack magazine pistol. Don't bet your life on any pistol that is less than 40 cal. MR
|
Okay, back in time you say, well choose a MP-40. Leave the pistols in the barracks, extra weight. Instead tote more magazines.
|
I would carry the P38. Don't like the Luger cocked with the safety on.

If it was before 1939 I'd carry the Luger!
Post 1939 I'd carry a P-38! Clark |
The P-38 is inherently safer.
FN |
The P-38

That's an easy one: the P.38.

How About The Pockets

Unfortunatly this came with a wrong mag for a walther. Love to consider a swap out!

Colt 1911A1... Then or Now.

I belive that i would carry the Luger. I am fortunate to own both, and I just shoot the Luger better that the P-38. I enjoy shooting both, but the Luger is one of my favorites.
|
I was told the officers carried a luger and and a pocket pistol. The rest carried the p38. It would made sence as the p38 took more beating.
|
I'd definitely take the P.38, it's a better and safer pistol that's up there with many modern, high quality pistols. The Beretta FS92/M9 is actually a P.38 knock-off, so I'd say that Walther got it right.
