proud owner of a new old Luger need help.
 

Hello: thanks for your help!
I acquired from an old friend a Luger of unknown manufacture( to me at least) I have searched the internet and purchased a couple of books on the Luger but I cannot find any information so here goes.
There are just 3 markings on the frame I can see, trust me I looked very thoroughly . 1 what looks to be a "F" in script on the top[ of the frame. 2 a serial #38XX on the front of the frame. 3 on the back of the frame ia a small indented circle with a triangle with what looks like a small bar under the triangle it is very hard to see even with magnification. that's all I can see on the frame.
The barrel is likely a replacement it is 99% blue and bite and shiny and has absolutely no markings at all. The toggle is marked DWM with all matching#s. The rest of the parts are not matching # trigger ect. Once more Thanks for your help!

Welcome to the forum. In order to get an answer you will need to submit pictures. Clear pictures of all marks, barrel ,left and right side and top. With these I am sure you will get answers. Bill

Welcome Leo, and Bill is correct. Please submit some good quality photos of the areas he has described and the forum will be glad to help identify your Luger.

Based on your screen name, I assume you are a fellow motorcycle enthusiast... Probably mine is older than yours...

it is a 1983 Honda Nighthawk 650...

I love riding as well. Still got the 1966 Triumph 650 Tiger. My dad bought it brand new and we still have it. Unrestored,runs great,always been taken care of.
I find it interesting that gun guys are usually into motorcycles,watches and cars.There must be a love of fine machinery gene.

Here's the photos hope you can see everything you need, if not I will take more if needed! There are absolutely no marks of any type on the barrel.

I love old motorcycles especially old british ones I never have had one but I sure like there looks! I have given thought to a new Triumph~ We'll see. I love my WEE!

Welcome. Very interesting. For some reason the photos are tiny and I cannot make out details such as the mark on the back of the gun under the toggle. Grip safety, unrelieved sear, late toggle and no stock lug with 4 digit serial? My first guess is a 1906 contract or a parts gun - a custom job that has reblued, rebarrelled, and engraved with the owners initial above the toggle? The magazine looks like a later replacement. I like it. Will be interested to hear other comments on this one.

Welcome. Triumph fan here. Got me am '07 Speed Triple.

Interesting Luger! Looks like it might have been rebarreled to 9mm. I am relatively certain that it is a 1906 Royal Portuguese Army that has had the "M2" chamber inscription removed and the "F" (probably the former owner's initial) engraved on it. The circle in triangle is a Portuguese acceptance mark (I believe I can see traces of the same mark on the left side of the receiver). Chances are pretty good that the extractor is marked "CARREGADA" on the left side.

Thanks for your help! I reloaded the photos to a larger size. You were correct it has the marking "CARREGADA"on the ejector. And I added a photo of my Vstrom.
