1 Attachment(s)
I have my Options in CP set as per the attached pic...but my (and your) time stamps are all one hour off...The forum is not allowing for DST even though it seems to be set for it...

...???...

Edward Tinker 03-22-2011 01:55 AM

(I have to actually post to check)...

Nope...Still off (pic attached)...

If I'm the only one affected, then it must be how my User CP is set up...

Nobody else in DST affected???

But did you post it at 07:18am as my PC shows???

Edward Tinker 03-22-2011 11:33 PM

I looked and DST was not check-marked in your admin panel (there are two, one you can't see) and previously I had check-marked it. That was probably John D and I simultaneously fixing it.

Did it work now?

Ed

PS: I am off an hour too...

Edward Tinker 03-22-2011 11:46 PM

now? (for me)

mine is fixed, yours should be too

lew1 03-23-2011 05:37 AM

According to my watch it is now 6:36 AM - give or take a minute.

lew1 03-23-2011 05:38 AM

And it is showing that I am posting at 10:37.

after the above I went and found that I was on western europe, so I changed it to Eastern.

All of which now gives me the correct time. Also, the preceding post's time was changed.

DST apparently works for me (once I was in the right time zone).

Well, let's see...I'm posting this at 07:04 Eastern DST...

Nope! It shows 06:04... :(

BTW: I don't see any changes in my UserCP...

Edward Tinker 03-23-2011 07:29 AM

You CAN'T see changes in your profile, i went in as Admin and changed it.

I bet you a drink that it will be back to what it was...

Will ask John D when he has time heh, heh

Ed

I posted that at 07:04; my Forum time stamp said 06:04...Now it says 08:04... :banghead:

Edit: And I posted this post at 06:03...The Forum time stamp says 07:03...

My goodness! Einstein stated that Time existed to keep everything from happening at once. Here it seems that nothing happens at once...way to go Einstein!!!:)

Norme 03-23-2011 06:15 PM

Hi Rich, Why don't you just advance your watch one hour and save Ed all that trouble? Regards, Norm
P.S. You'll never be late again.

You see what happened, don't you??? John went in and fixed it...and then Ed went in and he fixed it... :p

...Time is definitely not on my side... :D

Edit - I posted this at 7:25...Check the time stamp...

now I bet it works right

and bud, when the time stamp is correct for us, its only YOU that shows a whacky time.

To us, it IS the right time :)

Well, let's see...It's 06:57 now...

Nope...Still off...(it reads 05:57) ;)

Well, it's not worth wasting any more time on (pun intended)...My other Forums work right...

And as Vlim says, this is a Euro Forum; us Yanks don't have any cause to complain... :p

Edit: This reminds me of a similar situation on BladeForums.com a few years back...They upgraded (or switched?) their software and the time stamping was all wonky...Replies to questions/issues were posted *before* the questions/issues posts...Hilarity ensued for a day or so until it got sorted out... :roflmao:

I know this is just my own settings here...When we hit the 'regular' DST time-of-month change it will probably be OK again... ;)

Edward Tinker 03-24-2011 08:19 AM

well, when I played with the time zones, that 'did' work, but put you an hour ahead.

hmmmm

I asked John about it, he said, hmmmm, thats weird
