3 Attachment(s)
Hello friends. I have a big question with this holster. It has two holes and not whether it is good. "This holster is original? Thanks
best regards Antonio |
Hi Antonio, The holster looks original to me, however it has condition issues. Apart from the two holes you mention, it looks like it has been shoe polished. Regards, Norm.

Norme Thanks .. the price seems very cheap and it makes me wonder. The holster and a magazine fxo original $ 200.
What do you think? Regards Antonio |
The two holes remain after the U.S. type pistol belt hanger was removed. Many German holsters were pressed into service by previously German occupied countries in Europe after the war... Norway and Denmark would be two examples. The used a mix of U.S. military hardware and uniforms, and used as much captured war equipment as they could in the tough economic times in Post WW2. The holes detract fromt he collector value, but don't affect the history of the item... so the short answer is YES... it is an original German holster that has served more than one nation in its lifetime.

The holster, and the remains of rivet holes in those particular locations reminds me a bit of the Finnish army holsters, although this one seems to have started out as a German issue P08 holster.
It wouldn't surprise me if this one wandered off in the direction of Finland during the war. |
Antonio, The belt loops on the holster have replaced the originals. These were likely salvadged leather from something else and simply came with the holes. I wouldn't think the holes go into the back of the holster? They are just in the belt loops?
I think your deal seems a good one depending on the looks of the magazine! Jerry Burney |
Thanks for your opinion, it´s always useful
best regards from Spain Antonio |
