Need help with markings

I also have this posted in Jan's forum but would like to get some ideas on these marks here as well.

Not sure what I have What I do know is it has been refinished with a new (at some point) barrel. DWM 1916 Mostly Non matching, top half (slide) looks to be renumbered to frame. Toggle numbers ground slightly. I tried to take some good photos but my camera crapped out on me so I did the best I could

Looks like a post war factory refurbish to me but I cant identify the markings?

The markings in the photos are my representation of what they appear to be? It has been suggested that they may be Portuguese?

The KK/6 marking looks Portuguese. I have no idea about the remainder of the marks.

Ron,
I'm thinking of breaking this Luger up for parts? Is the barrel worth anything? It's in very good condition.

It probably isn't worth any more than other very good condition barrels. The markings indicate that it is most likely of Portuguese origin or purchase, but not necessarily unique or of significant collector interest. It's just a really nice replacement barrel.

If it functions properly, I wouldn't break the poor thing up. It was obviously reworked at some point so it has some inherent history. Either shoot the heck out of it or sell it off to someone else who will enjoy shooting it. Separating the numbered and renumbered parts will destroy its ch'i.

Ron, Thanks again!

Wilhelm,
I agree! Will probably just sell it as a shooter!

Thank you
Bob

"destroy its ch'i."

I hate when that happens...

Not much of a market for renumbered parts, but most lugers are worth more as parts so individually, if you have a long enough time frame (years) to do it. TH
