1900 numbered parts?

Ok, guys....I received my 1900 Commercial, ser# 4672 today....seems it has a few issues. Since I got it pretty cheap, I'll probably keep it regardless, but I'm curious. Funny thing is, all the numbered parts are matching, but not all the parts are numbered!

Matching parts are : frame, barrel/receiver, sideplate, trigger, grip safety assy., takedown lever, middle toggle, rear toggle, both grip panels

Unnumbered parts are : magazine catch, takedown lever, type 2 safety, firing pin, breechblock....it dosen't appear that these parts ever had other numbers that were ground off, and they seem to have the same patina and degree of wear as the rest of the gun.....however, the pistol wouldn't have left the factory with these parts unnumbered, would it?

Try looking n the bottom of the takedown lever. Commercial guns put the #'s in more discrete places.
I think it looks great. Art you can shoot.

sorry Dave, I misstyped...takedown lever IS numbered (underneath near pivot point) where would the breechblock and safety lever be numbered? I havent taken the safety out of the frame, but I doubt it would be numbered on the back?

Safety is numbered under the left grip. Firing pin is normally not numbered on commercial Lugers.

As Mike stated above the firing pin and also the magazine catch and thumb safety are not usually numbered on commercials. The breechblock usually is, along with a firing proof.

If you think of trading it or selling it, I would be interested in it, because its an early one :)

Nuke, I've seen unnumbered, 2 digit & 3 digit numbered M1900 BBs and some without the C/n proofing. Your safety LEVER is correct unnumbered. TH

ok, thanks guys....so it seems it may be correct, with the possible exception of the breechblock, hmm
