Ammo for P08 New User

I recently purchased ammo for my P08. I purchased both Full Jacket and Hollow Points. Now, I am not sure that the hollow points will work. Should I try? or it is dangerous to try? Thanks

It would not not be dangerous, unless you bought +P or the like ammo....

It may not feed right, but you never know.

From my artillery luger shooter, she will feed almost anything.

They are FIOCCHI

9MM Luger 115 GRS. JHP with a number 9APHP. Shall I try them? I have not fired this pistol at all as of yet. Thanks

Well, it depends on a lot of factors, the condition of the pistol not being the least of it.

If you are uncertain, consult a good gun smith first and get the pistol checked before attempting to fire it. A P08 in a good technical state shouldn't have issues with standard 9x19 ammuntion. A slower burning powder is preferable, that is the type that the pistol was designed around. Most modern powders are fast burning variations, which provide a different pressure curve. Other than that, the OAL (Overall Average Length) of the round plays a role in reliable feeding.

Winchester 115gr 9x19 works well (100-round 'Valu-Pack'),
Sellier & Bellot 124gr and even the 145gr 'subsonic' work well.

I fired quite a lot of Fiocchi 7,65 para without problems also.
