Missed opportunity
 

About five or six years ago I belonged to gun collector's club here in the San Fernando Valley ( near Los Angeles ) by the unlikely name of; San Fernando Valley Arms Collectors.
At the time I was more interested in guns other than Lugers, but I recall a gentleman in the Club who used to bring, what I now realize was an astounding collection of Lugers to show the group.
He was a real gentleman, and I wish I'd had the good sense to pay closer attention to his collection. He was just the kind of fellow you'd expect to find in this forum. In fact, if he is in this forum, or if anyone recalls such a man, could they ( or he ) let me know. I have gone through some of the notes I made at their meetings, but can't recall his name.
Hope to chat with him again sometime and make up for all the opportunities to learn that I missed out on the first time.
