Trommel Snail Drum Questions

I used my new to me Trommel for the first time today, sprayed some Break Free down the neck and filled it twice with 22 rounds it worked great, I used a dull screwdriver to push the rounds down one at a time but could not get more than 22 in.
I would like to figure out a way to make a loading tool so that I can get 32 rounds into it.
I would like to understand how the loading tool worked. Does anyone have a picture of one?
Does anyone have any ideas on how to build a loading tool?
Thanks

If you cannot afford an original loading tool ,buy a reproduction.

Ed, it basically works like the screwdriver. A blade that pushes down on the cartridge rim, assisted by a lever attached to a body that slides over the top of the magazine body, to keep it secured in place.

You could also look into the various modern magazine loaders available on the market today.
I think the uplula would fit the bill nicely and cheaply!!

No, but a single stack magazine is a single stack magazine. The uplula provides the mechanical avantage to properly load stiff magazines.

Sure beats scratching the dickens out of your trommel with a screwdriver blade!

I agree, but a snail drum spring is stiff as hell.

I looked at these loaders at the gun shop and it is a double stack loader 9mm-45cal it does not fit the Luger mag. right.
They make a single stack but it is a 22cal.
I am going to try this one ProMag LDR 01 Pistol Magazine Loader
it is steel and maybe I can make a lever to push it down.
