1927 commercial barrel change

i recently bought a1927 commercial 30 cal gun but the barrel is pitted and frosty is it possible to install a 9mm barrel. would this change require different springs ect. tx. for any info,, Matt

I believe that the .30 spring is different (shorter) than the 9mm mainspring. No other changes that I am aware of. LugerDoc is a great assistance if needed.

Matt, I can install your choice of 4" to 16" PO8 barrels from $50 to 150 in your commerical luger for $100 labor + $25 return S&H. You should also change the recoil spring, which I can do at the same time for around $50, depending on the length of barrel chosen. TH

You are funny!!! :roflmao:

Spitfire, I can tell that you haven't changed many luger barrels. With the set up time, insuring that the front sight lines up in the proper vertical position, installing a front sight and possible chamber ream and ramp polishing, I want to see you do it in less than an hour under optimal conditions, and much longer if all doesn't go well at first attempt.
