1920 luger carbine on PIA
A 1920 luger carbine eagle is offered for sale on the RIA site with a contact them for price. Its a Eagle marked and has German inport marks. I'm trying to find out why mine has no eagle nor inport marks. Were there others? Have any Navy carbines surfaced and I can only assume they too lacked 'GERMANY't I never asked Gramps when I purchased it years ago!

umm ...aren't PIA and RIA different firms?

Sorry 'P.I.A.!!!!! Another post-stroke brain fart!!!

Ah ok...I don't mean to be snide or stir the hornet's nest too much, but from a lot of the things I've read, this outfit seems to have a checkered reputation as far as boosted/faked Lugers.....why return to the poisoned well? I realize there are a limited number of sources for unusual and rare Lugers, but you'd think if thery were avoided by the high end collectors, they might clean up their act!

Does anyone have a handle on how many were made. How many different variations were there? Three that I can find. The American Eagle inscribed would appear were obviously geared towards an American market. The 1920 Navy carbine didn't of course bore the Eagle and must have been a military issue. See Kenyan....
