Help Identifying Luger Magazines
6 Attachment(s)
I have 2 nice magazines and would like to know what Luger variation/s they would be correct for.
1) Magazine 595+ (Photos 1-3): No clue except "+" = extra mag? 2) Magazine 1536 (Photos 4-6): 1908-1910 Military DWM? Other than the "+" on #1, no other proofs or suffixes on either. Your comments are much appreciated! Clark |
Hi Clark, Your second mag. is a highly desirable 1st Issue DWM (or early 1910) magazine. The base on the first one looks to me to be a replacement, though I could be wrong. Regards, Norm

Thanks! I have paired the second mag with my Unit marked, undated, 1st Issue 1908 that I received with a later mag, but wanted to be sure. On the first one (595+), the photos don't show it, but the body is in a mint condition that matches the base, except for the rub/blemish on the follower side. The whole thing looks too good to be true to me. I am curious if the whole thing is not a police or aftermarket replacement. Other comments, anyone? Clark |

Hi Clark, The reason I am of the opinion that your first mag. has a replaced base, is because it looks just like one I have. As you can see from the photos, both mags. have DWM tubes, but had their bases replaced during the mid '30s (E/154 is the Mauser mark used in 1934/5). Regards, Norm

Thanks for taking your time today to post those photos. Mine does look exactly like yours. Clark |
