NO re-line barrel needed,,,

Took my 42/1940 to the range yesterday and it shot great! Perfect tight center group using a 6 o'clock hold on a 6 inch bulleye target. I was amazed as the rifling looks pretty worn out. Ammo used was the Wolf 115gr. This stuff also shoots very well in my P-38 and its cheep. Function just fine, only failed to hold open the toggle a few times. I hear this is common with new commerical ammo. Still it fed without a problem.

This well worn 42 may not win any beauty contest, but she special to me.

Going today and pick up my 4th Luger. This one is a near mint S/42 1938. By far the nicest Luger going into my just starting out collection. Looks like the Luger bug got me too.

Bob

P.S.I'm hoping to make the WOL fest in March. Still working out the details with my wife work schedule.

It is amazing how a rough rifeling will still produce nice shooting!

Just squeezes down the barrel and shoots fine!

Yes, the Luger bug can be bad,

Bob; if you haven"t done it already try a new Wolff magazine spring and your toggle may stay open every time. Works for me.
