Weimar Police holster?

Hello all,
Refering to this link :
http://phoenixinvestmentarms.com/His...eimarpol21.htm
Do you know this luger holster?
Is Gustaw Wagner a known Weimar period holster maker?

Thank you,
Francois

Francois,

That is not a police holster and is not a standard military holster. Others will have to comment on just what it is.

There is a lot of misinformation on that link.

Hello Francois,

The holster is a military variation, and I don't believe it's German. Some Police units used the military style holsters to a limited degree. However, not this style. Note the close belt loops.

The buckle is a Reichswehr Military buckle, and I would suspect that the Luger, Holster , belt and buckle were assembled post WWII.

I would be suspect in considering it a period rig.

My opinion...

Thank you for your answers.

Another member of this forum (RBorecky) talks about a holster made by Gustaw Wagner :
http://forum.lugerforum.com/showthre...ghlight=wurzen

On my side, I have also a holster with a "Gustaw Wagner Wurzen 1919" back side marking.
The belt loops are not so close on mine. They have usual spacing.

I made some researches and Wurzen is a little town in Saxe, near Leipzig.

Just wanted to know more about this strange holster.

Francois

Bulgarian holster, Portuguese lanyard....

This guy must have had quite a horse if he was able to get his gun through most of Europe :)
