Leather repairs? Jerry Burney is the MAN.

Just sent Jerry Burney a couple of Artillery rigs that needed attention. Jerry worked them over, restored what needed to be restored and started both on their way for another hundred years, or more, of life.

EXCELLENT leather restoration work when one needs it (and they all will, sooner or later).

Thanks Jerry......AND nice to "meet" you also.

A couple years ago Ralph sold me a real nice 1908 navy and board. I needed some one to fill in the missing pieces, mag pouch, holster atttachment and straps and this was the result

A legend among men! I'm just 'waiting' for that cheap but rare thrasher so that I can have the honour of Jerry's work spruced over them :p

Recently I contacted Jerry to see if he would be willing to attempt to reproduce the (rare) leather boot cover for the mag. extension on an Astra M.902 Broomhandle shoulder stock. At the tme, I only had a couple of pictures of what I was looking for to share with Jerry, and nothing else to go on.

Jerry immediately agreed to tackle the project, and in the course of my research to provide more reference material to Jerry, fellow forum member PJ Heck jumped in to offer his original M. 902 boot to serve as a pattern for an accurate reprodiction(!) Now mind you, I have never met either of these guys in person, and only had email conversations with them--

With PJ's original boot as a pattern, and my shoulder stock in-hand, Jerry created a copy that looked and fit perfectly.

I owe a dept of gratitude to both Jerry and PJ for their generousity and spirit and I thank them both! This forum really has some fine members.
