From an auction. I imagine a vet made the holster from a Nambu holster he brought back as well.

Could be a Nambu, but the french holster looks very much like the nambu

It´s a French one.
There were some different alterations.
This one on the added picture was made for the SA (Sturmabteilung).

Hi,

It would be interesting to see where it is being offered? The Artillery shows some signs of being one that was assembled under French control at Mauser, post-1945. Note that all small parts are blued. The combination of the pistol and a French holster also seems to point in that direction.

It could be a reblued WW1 piece, of course, but if it has a Mauser toggle it could be quite a rare piece as well.

French, huh? My favorite thing about the Luger and its accoutrements is the seemingly endless depth of variation. Always learning something new no matter how much I read.
