Eric,

Actually it is not a "medal", but a Cavalry Regimental Badge. To be specific, 11th Legion Lancers Regiment of Marshal Smigly-Rydz. Unit formed in 1919 from Jablonski Division in Krakow, Radomsk and Jedzelow Divisions. Center disk has the insignia of the 1st Jozef Pilsudski Brigade.
Congratulations, a quite desirable and historical Badge.

Below, an example from my Polish collection.

"Were You also a Polish Alter Boy?"

No, I was raised Methodist and my ancestors came to SC in the 1700's from Scotland and Ireland. I believe, horse thieves and bootleggers, most likely. :)

I am interested in anything Polish, that may tie in with my collecting the Polish "Radom" pistol.

A few more photos of some of the Medal, Badge, Insignia, Document collection.

That badge is soooo neat!!!

There is no size comparison for the Regimental Badge. How big/small is it?

cirelaw 08-05-2010 07:44 AM

1 1/2 inches
