My first one......$750 and I'm just tickled pink. SS #6498 and all parts match.:thumbup:

Two mags with wood also stamped ...1941 Mauser.
Small Coles import under trigger guard .

Barrel has no number....slightly different color than rest of pistol but barrel/frame stakes match up exactly.

Shoots perfect with Silver Bear. :rockon:

Need anything.....just holler 'cause I'm brand spanky new.

More pics would be nice...of the toggle, top of chamber, frame under barrel showing serial number, any markings on either side of the receiver, any markings on the magazines, maybe a pic of the grips...

Price is good (to me), it looks like a very nice specimen... :thumbup:

It sure looks like a lot more than $750.00 worth of fun to me !! Shoot the snot out of that baby ... and enjoy !!!

No numbers on barrel, but stake marks line up.

SN on left side has a large 6498 X...

SN under barrel has what looks like an italic 'n' under it...

A symbol? with what looks like 835 then 166 and the Nazi Eagle on right frame by barrel.

Lastly P08 left side under toggle.

Grips are crisp, unmarked and un blemished.

Hard to tell from the pics, but it looks like your frame has the "Mauser hump" (extra metal 'ears' around the top/rear of the frame--designed to help keep the toggle pin in). So it has a modern frame and cannon, better metal than the Imperial lugers.

Should stand up to a lot of shooting, but most experts recommend brass cased ammo. Some say that steel cased ammo causes more severe frame battering than brass cased.

Ya wish they could talk. A couple of oddities here. Looks like a 1941 or later frame, and a post 1939 toggle group. Could it be a 41 - 42? That's early 1941. Sortta on the rare side. But then the strawed small parts are from before early 1937. The wood bottom mags went out around 1920-1923. Some of it looks refinished. Either way ya did good for that price.

Maybe the more experienced will add more.

This looks like a Russian capture that a previous owner "dolled up" by removing the blue from the typical parts and re strawing.
The grips are after market of the type offered by Sarco and Gun parts Corp.
All in all a very nice shooter.

Bought as a shooter and not a collect piece.
Shoots absolutely perfect.....except a box of Fiocchi that wouldn't even ccycle my P38.
