1937 S/42 with matching mag
I found an all blued 37' S/42 at a local pawn shop that has one matching mag. All outside parts are matching but I didn't ask to take it apart because I'm trying to obtain funds to buy it so I'll wait until then. I'd rate the finish at 80-90% with holster and hand wear. The grips are excellent and it comes with one other non matching mag and the one that is matching does not appear to have been forced. They want $1,000 for it. I've never seen a Luger with the original mag so I don't know how much they're going for so does anyone here know?

Hard to say without pictures but from what you describe I'd gladly throw $1000 at it (after closer inspection).
You may be able to find similar guns that have sold on GunBroker to use as a measure. dju |
If all matches and if the finish is at least 80% with one matching mag sounds like a good deal to me. You can always offer less . I have yet to see a gunshop that wouldn't wiggle a little. If the second mag is original it is worth $175 or so. You are then getting at the high end for a shooter. If it turns out to be a collector grade you are way ahead. Bill

Well if I sell the Luger I currently own I might go back and make them an offer.

Why wait until you sell one? They don't eat much nor do they take up much space (or at least that's the excuse I always use on myself when temptation strikes...).

Poor college student with limited funds. If I buy this one and can't sell the other I'm screwed.
