Another new guy here
 

I've just aquired a new to me Luger and will hopefully find out about it. Will try posting photos.
SN 7803 with no letters, no date stamp, color seems greyish.

Looks looks like a fine glass bead finish.....welcome here

The frame, at least, is from a WW1 machinegun company. It should have a dated chamber to be correct.

1908 first military. Check for the remnants of proofs on the left side of the receiver just behind the barrel.

Dang! missed the no stock lug!!!

looks like it has been parkerized some during its recent life instead of blued... not a factory finish for sure. It will make a great shooter.

My first impression was that it had been bead blasted, Policeluger's comment confirmed it.
I have seen a lot of aircraft reworked parts that look just like that.
