.410 guage
Gentlemen,
This is definately off topic. I'm selling a few items to buy an AT-14 (AR15 style 410 guage shotgun). I know many of you have various calibre bullets/shotshells and was wondering if there is a stripper that will hold a 410 round. Thank you for your time. http://www.americantactical.us/at14.html |
The .45 Long Colt and the .410 shotgun shell are interchangeable in the chamber. I imagine any stripper made for the .45 Long Colt would work for a .410 shotgun shell.

Can't say I have ever seen a stripper clip used for .45 Long Colt... because they aren't normally fed from a magazine...
Maybe one of the .303 British stripper clips? 8mm Lebel? 8mm Siamese Mauser? It will have to be a bolt action caliber that used rimmed cartridges with approximately the same case head size... 7.92mm x 54 Russian? .30-40 Krag? |
I recall a 12ga auto shotgun based on the AR15 design, but a .410ga...do they even make a .410ga slug shotshell???
I'd think a 00buck shotshell would be cool...but it would only hold 2 "pellets" at the most... :p |
Postino, Remington makes an excellent 2 1/2", 1/5oz. rifled slug pushing 1830fps which to my knowledge is above Magnum speed. The Federal 000 buck with 4 pellets pushes 1200fps. Both shotshells run flawlessly through the shotgun. However, I'll be using slugs 97% of the time.
John, I never thought of the older WWII and the few obscure calibre strippers. I'll have to search at the next Chantilly Gun show for one compatible. You've opened my eyes to a more comprehensive search. Hallelujah!!!! |
Th AT-14 looks like a cool companion for the Tarus Judge.

Hello Ron. Actually, I thought it would be a great companion to my AR15's. Best design feature is that any AR15/M16 (full auto) lower will work. I'd love to see one on YouTube firing full auto. Magazines available are 5, 14 rds.

Why does it have to be full auto??? Heh...Just saw the address...I'm about an hour's drive West of Rochester... :) |
It doesn't have to be full auto! It's just very cool that the platform allows for it!
