Source for screws?

I'm looking for a sideplate screw for a 1907 Dreyse pistol, not exactly the kind of thing one find at Home Despot. It's the same thread as a metric grip screw, only a bit longer. Numrich is sold out.

Could someone suggest a source for small, metric fillister-head screws such as these? I really don't want to buy an assortment from Brownells and hope that the one I need is in there.

Thank you!

Some of you might cringe at this, but anyway...

I ran into the same problem with my 1907 Dreyse, but after having the gun sitting for months without a screw I finally broke down and re-threaded the hole for a standard screw just do get it done. I turned down the screw head and filed a new slot (Brownells screw slot fixture worked great for this), and if you don't know about it you won't see a thing. I can't recall the size, but the existing hole was large enough for the tap to go through without re-drilling, but still small enough to get a good thread. Re-threading is of course a bit unorthodox, but the Dreyse is not a megadollar collectible (especially not the one I have...) so I didn't feel too bad about doing it.

By the way, before I did this I asked Brownells and they don't carry any metric assortments. If you find out what the thread is I would really like to know. These guns were made before the ISO-system was introduced, so it may be an old, defunct standard that you can't find anymore. I wasn't able to match it to any standard metric thread anyway.

IIRC original German specs were actually based on UK / US specs.
