top shot year/date would help...wierd serration at rear trigger bar, never seen anything like that before.....

I'll go out on a limb here.
It appears to be a military issued 1917 DWM German Luger, 9mm.
Looks matching except for both mags. One WW2 mag (loaded, $150) and the second either aftermarket mag. ($30) or a Navy mag. ($200+).
Good grips and finish.
Average value around $800-$1000, but again more photos needed.
Agreed that I too have not seen the seration work.
Do the numbers match inside and outside, any unit markings on the grips straps, holster, bore, ?
Looks like a nice WW1 sample.

Now I see, an early 1937. Well I guess I went way too far out on that limb...

Any significance to those serrations??? Seems an odd place for them... :confused:

It would help us a lot if you could include a photograph of the top of the receiver of this Luger. Or if you can not do that, can you please tell us what is on the receiver? (for example, a date, or perhaps a letter?)

Also, please let us know what is the entire serial number of this piece? The serial number will be on the front of the frame, just under the barrel. And also, please let us know if it has a letter there (in gothic script). Okay?

That serration on the sear safety is really interesting.

Any marking or letters on the grip frame?
