1916, 1917 Navy Grip question
Were they numbered?

They aren't numbered on my 1917 and Tom Armstrong felt that they were original when he inspected it. They appear to be beechwood, not walnut.

Hi, My 1916 Navy's grips are unnumbered. I followed Tom Armstrong's instructions to the letter, including having an adult beverage, and am convinced that they are original. Regards, Norm

Thank you for your input.Looks like they should be unnumbered.

Hi Bob, I hope you're right, but a sample of two is pretty small from a statistical point of view. Two of my sons-in-law are actuaries, and if they were dead (thankfully they're not), they would be spinning in their graves. Regards, Norm

My 1917s are un-numbered.
