unusual Luger
|
It's shooter made up from parts, with a turned down rifle barrel added. This was a fairly common practice back in the 50's and 60's. Replace a worn out .30 Luger barrel or add a longer .30 cal. barrel made from a rife barrel. In this case it appears it may have been an 8mm Mauser barrel bored out to 9mm.
The problem is that he either thinks he has something special, or is trying to make someone else think so. Ron |
That make sense, but what throws me is the DWM on top of the receiver.

Yeah,
I can see something on the chamber. Not sure about the DWM from the photo. |
The name is not familiar, but the location is...I've emailed the Nanuet NY storeowner several times about Lugers he has had on GB, and have never received a reply...so I passed on bidding on any of them...
I would be wary of this seller... |
Sounds like a bit of an ass. I especially like this:
"I RESERVE THE RIGHT TO END AN AUCTION EARLY , DUE TO THE FACT IM A RETAIL GUN STORE ." I guess being in retail, makes him special. I agree with Postino, be very wary. |
The reciever, by its description, is from a 1908 Bulgarian. The seller is Charlie Kaplan and he is a good fellow and has dozens of Lugers. As for him not answering emails tell him George Anderson told you to tell him to "wake up and pay attention to business". He'll respond.
