![]() Well......at least it aint a minty Rust blued/strawed Luger!!! From "For yours Eyes Only" used as a hammer to remove pitons! ARG! Just like in the movies when they say "Drop it" I always want the guy to say "How about I put it down gently?" or when they say "Kick it away from you" I REALLY CRINGE!!!

Re: Luger Hammer
I would love to take a look at some of these weapons suppliers for movies. I read an article years ago in Guns and Ammo and they ad pictures of everything you could imagine. Many were re-fitted with blank firing adaptors (internally), but still they had many interesting weapons.
But... I imagine they are beat to heck? Ed |
Hammerer got what he deserved
As I recall didn't old 007, get this guy with a throwing knife, causing him to tumble off a cliff? Just dessert for harming the Luger!

Yep, Steve you have a good memory!

Re: Hammerer got what he deserved
I thought it was a thrown piton that stuck the bad guy. I guess the Luger went tumbling off the cliff with him?

Re: Hammerer got what he deserved
Good eye Matt, you are right about the piton, I had to watch it in slow motion, it looked like little knifes until you turned them enough to see the rope clip/whole on the end of them, they were pitons, yes, too bad about the Luger!

Re: Hammerer got what he deserved
With Hollywood being so anti gun and not wanting some big star shooting himself accidently from not knowing a butt from a barrel. Most stars don't know how to use one and are against us owning them. I am sure it was just a replica made of pot metal probably from china. Or at least I can sleep easier with that thought.

Thor, thinking about it now, I too first thought it was a throwing knife when I first saw the movie in the theater back in the early 80s. Speaking of Bond movies, do you recall any others that had Lugers? I remember there was a P.38 in Goldfinger. Several Bond movies, including From Russia with Love and Moonraker have MP40s. There's also an MP38 in From Russia with Love. Bond movies can get a little silly, but are great entertainment. With Good guns, girls and gadgets, how can you go wrong?
