Questions about my Luger.
 

No I do not plan on selling this, but I am wondering what the value of it is.

it is a 1906 imperial navy luger (not commercial) all matching numbers (3288) and a matching stock. 2 ww1 mags, and a 6 inch barrel. Rifling is perfect, and everything is still in great working condition.. My grandmother gave it to me for christmas, and until then it had been sitting in a box for about 35-40 years.

Hi, Welcome to the forum. How come my Grandma never gave me anything like this? This rig could be quite valuable, but we really need more, and clearer photos to truly evaluate it. Regards, Norm

I cannot get many good pictures of this gun, I tried my best to get a picture of the rifling, but the quality is poor.

now, http://www.lugerforum.com/lugermarkings/proof-1.html The gun has # 9 on the barrel, and #10 on the reciever.

The mags are not matching, but the stock is matching with the gun.

That is a sweet christmas present,if there is any family history to it I would try and document it now!

Well the story is that my great grandfather cound it in germany in 1918 and took it back to the U.S. where it was kept, then given to my grandfather, then when he died, it was given to my grandmother, who then passed it down to me.

A REAL treasure of a Christmas Gift. Hug your grandmother every chance you get! Congrats! This is a very valuable rig... take care to preserve it well. Do not store it in a holster, and don't get any oil on the grips. Keep it well lubricated.

And speaking of navy Lugers... has anyone got an update on Tom Armstrong's health? I haven't seen him post in quite a while!
