Hi, I think it's a Mauser frame. It has the bump and is marked P08. Regards

Hi,
Your Luger has a 1921 DWM upper half, but the frame is from a post 1940 Mauser Luger, evidenced by the P.08 stamped on the frame. Welcome to the forum. Ron |
Hi again, It's also improperly assembled. The connecting link is not engaged. Regards, Norm

Can you explain the closer about assembling?
Thanks |
Hi, There is a sticky in the section "All P08 Military Lugers" that explains how to field strip, and correctly reassemble, a Luger. Regards, Norm

This is a mismatched gun. However that does not mean it still can work. The frame is a Mauser frame, as said; the P-08 Denotes this. Mauser in the 30's aquired the machining from DWM to tool up for Lugers. DWM was the original maker of the Luger. The 1921 Chamber date indicates it is most likely a Police recevier, I need to see the underside of the barrel. Is this a 9mm? The reason I ask is because the gun is mismatched and the barrel no doubt might be anything. And you do not have the coupling link secured either as indicated in one of the posts. The toggle is marked DWM and I need more pictures of the parts.

This person last posted in March 2010, and has not returned, so your request is liable to go on deaf ears.
Why would you say that the 1921 date is a police? They were made for police and army, so the date is not an indication of it being police? |
