1916 Erfurt
I am trying to get a 1916 Erfurt in 30 Caliber Luger in shooting order for a friend of mine. Someone suggested that it could not be a 1916 Erfurt in 30 Cal and that might be the problem. I can find no corroboration of this do any of you know for sure? SN 99XX all matching except for the trigger plate. It stovepipes every round.

As one of the site members pointed out earlier, this gun was originally in 9mm. If someone other than a qualified depot switched the caliber to 30 Luger and did not replace the mainspring to the correct spring for 30, failures such as stovepiping are very likely

John,
All Erfurt Lugers, no matter what the S#, were originally 9mm. |
