Bayonet Markings ?
Can you guys ID this one ?
I just found it in a box that I had ... ahem ... misplaced. Thanks Erik http://forum.lugerforum.com/picture....pictureid=1152 |
It is a Navy marking for the Ostsee port.

Thanks for the info.
Does having this marking do anything to the value of it ? I know this isn't a bayonet forum, but it seems you guys know everything !! |

Here's some more pics.
All the numbers on the bayonet match , but the scabbard does not. It is a different serial number but is stamped with the same year '38. The blade does not look like it has been sharpened (to me) and there are only a few wear marks where it goes into the scabbard. The frog has some stampings on the back and one of them is '38 as well. Any ideas on a ballpark $$ value ? http://forum.lugerforum.com/picture....pictureid=1156http://forum.lugerforum.com/picture....pictureid=1155 http://forum.lugerforum.com/picture....pictureid=1154http://forum.lugerforum.com/picture....pictureid=1153 http://forum.lugerforum.com/picture....pictureid=1157 |
I also have these 2 Sweedish Mauser ones. What do those markings mean ?

I can't help you with the Swedish bayonets but the German S84/98 scabbard is a mis-match thus lowering the value. I see these sell for around $100 - $125 with frog in this condition.

Thanks
