Pictures are a must, but from the "1915", your description, and the serial number, I can tell you it is a 1915 military, DWM manufacture. The two matching magazine are a great plus. I hope they are wood bottom????

camera not available but i assure you they both read 8090 on them .... is that rare with 2 clips with the same serial number?

Mike B 02-27-2010 07:17 PM

Yes, that is VERY rare, but the word "clip" is somewhat disturbing in the Luger world. Clips are used in M1 rifles. Magazines are used in Lugers as they store ammo. Enough of semantics. You have a very desirable Luger. The condition appears to be great and the two mags make it extremely desirable. Don't let anyone tell you it is worth anything less than major collectable.

Any idea of value? Ballpark ?

One more thing guys , if you look at the picture you can see the holster ,,,, next to the magazine holder theres a thin compartment next to it whats that for?

DavidJayUden 02-27-2010 11:25 PM

The compartment is probably for the loading tool.
Value is well to the north of $2k, maybe $3500. But I haven't really seen many others to base it on. The other guys may be able to give a more educated estimate. But more pictures will help them in that endeavor too. Any bring back documents with it?
Anyway, it's definitely not a shooter, and don't try to load those mags.

Hi, I would figure the gun with two matching mags about $3,000.00, assuming they are as nice as they appear to be so far. The holster has value also. Photos of both sides, including all marks, inside and out, are a must. Regards, Norm

What are the marks on the holster? Is there a loading tool in the small pouch inside the flap. Are there any markings indide the flap?

From your description the pistol and accessories are well worth $3K.

need lots more pictures before I would give value, faked magazines are common; and that is what drives the value. Plus it must be all matching; firing pin, grips, hold open etc. If not, then value drops.

Not trying to sound negative, but values from a brief description and one photo is a guessing game.

I personally have had trouble "getting" anything over $2500 for any luger from WW1 era, even with 2 matching magazines.
