Help with unit mark?
1 Attachment(s)
Is anyone familar with this S.D. marking on a 1914 Mauser pocket pistol?
|
David,
It looks like a Schutzpolizei Dusseldorf mark with the exception of the unusual scroll font. And that it appears to have been Pantographed rather than stamped. I've never seen another like it. Maybe Don Maus will have more to share on this. Ron |
Dave ran this by me earlier and I was unable to identify it. The 305xxx serial number of the gun means this marking was applied well after the issue of Prussian marking instructions and neither the letters or numerals are consistent with those instructions. I wish I could be of more help.

It was worth a try. I thank you for your help!
