need to move front sight a tiny bit on my shooter

What is the best way to move the front sight on my shooter a tiny bit. It's a mismatch gun,but I still don't want to distort the metal.

You didn't mention condition, age, caliber, type of Luger (arty, military, commercial), etc...

But unless it's a sight I've installed myself, I leave them alone...

Tennessee windage... ;)

Tap it with a good stout brass punch. Don't get overly aggressive. Be sure the pistol barrel is well supported on a good surface. The dovetail sights slide pretty easily. You might look on the front, there may be a alingment notch. The Germans made a screw type sight adjustment tool to push them over.
Shouldn't be a problem.
