Ever any WW1 Aviation unit marked Lugers found?

I take aviation and aviation support units must have had Lugers assigned to them and many pilots flew with a sidearm. I take that sidearm was more of a personal prefrence and not issued to all pilots. Maybe not a Luger at all. Are there any Lugers proved to be connected to a pilot? I now that before the machine guns became geared to the engines, many pilots and observers of both side would take 'pot shots' at each other. A LP-08 might have fit the bill. :jumper:I keep flaping but can't get airborne!:jumper:

On page 149 in Jan C Still's Imperial Lugers figure 58 he has a 1914 LPO8 Erfurt unit marked to a aviation unit. One of my collector pals had a Luger unit marked to a air ship unit which he foolishly sold.

THANK YOU! Seeing I've had no replies to this posting, I figured there must have been no aviation marked units. I will try to see his book, but if I think they are are selling for over $900! Must be a great and rare book.
Thanks again,Bill

Hi Bill, You can still buy "Central Powers Pistols" directly from the author, Jan C. Still. At just over $100.00, including shipping, this book is, pound for pound, a tremendous value. There is an illustration of an Erfurt issued to an airship unit and half a dozen more aviation related guns are in the list of unit marked Lugers. Regards, Norm
