Finally got some pics...
 

Here are the two holsters that have housed 2 of my Lugers for at least the past 60+ years...The lighter brown one is missing the back loops, and the front loop clasp, and it is marked "HAXIX 18". The black one, or darker leather one is in pretty good shape, this one is stamped "C. HEINICHEN","DRESDEN" under that, and beside that is a stamp that appears like 2 tassels with "WaA142" Under the tassels. Neither one has the tools. Just wandering if these are authentic, and are the worth a bit? Just wandering, not gonna sell em. If they aren't originals, then the are at least 60+ years old...Thanks.-Joshua

Joshua, Yes both of your holsters are original. The reddish brown one is a Police. The darker one an Army.
Your Police has been cut away in the GI quick draw style. It's value is severly diminished.

The Army seems to be all there and in reasonable shape. It too has condition problems but I would say it's value is around $100-125.

Isn't the "police" holster a bit of a Frankenstein? It has a buckle were it should not and it has no stud for the strap on the holster lid.

What gives?

It was a Imperial holster of the 18. Army Corps and was never a Police item.

Joshua, Klaus is entirely correct. I mispoke! I had a pile of holsters laying here on my desk and was looking at the pile when I wrote about yours! my bad.

It is not a frankenstein. Nothing has been added. Just subtracted. The belt loops are gone and it was cut for a fast draw. It is actually as it should be and sorry about the confusion. I look at too many holsters at once!

Isn't it also missing the perforated strap in the front that mates with the buckle for closure?

Or am I missing something?

Joshua..Your right! Now I remember what made me call it a Police..It appears to have an Artillery top on it! It has the tab on the front of the top but without the closure stud that a Police would have. That would make it an Artillery configuration. Keeper tab with no stud.
I can't see the holster good enough..are there any stitching holes under the magazine pouch for what used to be a cleaning rod? I wonder if it's an Artillery conversion. If it were..to the right of the buckle assembly there would be stitching holes where the closure strap would have been fixed onto the front body of the holster.
Funny that the buckle is installed but there has never been a closure strap installed for it! The closure strap would have been sewn on under the tab on the front of the top.
Only thing that makes me think this is NOT an Artillery conversion..there are no stitching holes for a stock block between the belt loops..WEIRD!

60+ years?....I hear so much about, don't leave your pistole in a holster for stowage.
