This pistol is not an Artillery but a long barrel has been added to a Police pistol. The sear safety tells us that. As well as the 2 stamped below the Eagle 6 on the mag. The mag is likely matching by happenstance or was renumbered to match by the Police as it is a Simson mag, a DWM commercial pistol. The mag was not made and issued with the pistol.
The barrel appears to be home made from another weapon. It is missing some of the front sight and a barrel band. I would value it at $5-600. Is the barrel .30 or 9MM? That would make a difference. If I were you I would sell it..if that is your intention... and the magazine seperately. The mag is likely to bring $150-200 Even though the magazine is numbered to the pistol, the pistol has no real collector value and is only a shooter. A good MecGar mag is what it needs. Jerry - thank you for your response!!

IMHO, it would increase the value to take that barrel off and put a 4" barrel on it. Sarco, Numrich, and Lugerdoc all have 4" barrels.
Trying to repair that front sight, or rework that barrel to look like a Luger barrel (of any sort) would not be cost effective. You could add a repro artillery barrel, but the cost would be as much as the pistol is worth and would not greatly increase the value... |
thank you,, Postino!

I also wanted to point out that the rear sight on this pistol has been welded up and a deep notch cut for the longer barrel. Should a standard barrel be returned to this pistol, work would need to be done to this back sight to bring point of aim/impact back into line.
