After market grips?

I'm wondering if there are companies that make different grips to fit the luger. I'm not looking for original replica's, I'm looking for options different from the original grips.
Thanks.

I liked the repro Italian wood grips with the smooth borders like the M24 Swiss, unfortunately they are no longer being imported. Their are sill a variety of new repro plastic grips available in brown, white or black, checkered or not. TH

Thanks.
Any chance you could post a link to someone who sells them. I've been hunting a bit around the net and haven't found any. I've been using the words luger and grips in most of my searches, maybe i should just look at companies that sell grips in general?
Thanks again.

Mike, You might also want to try for new plastic repros www.vintagegungrips.com I usually stock most of these, plus a few that haven't been made for years. Please be more specific as to what you want. TH

George,

What are the smooth grips made of, and are they for a grip-safety gun or no?

Dwight, they appear to be heavy plastic. They will not fit a grip safety pistol.

Lugerdoc 12-10-2009 10:00 AM

Dwight, You best specify which grip safety model you need the grips for as the right grip of the M1900 with the 2 piece flat recoil spring will not fit on a M1906 of later. I do have both type in stock from $40 for somewhat crude Vintage black plastic repros that will require a lot of fitting to some exc M1906 Italian checkered wood repros @$150 (and a custom smooth wood set @$95) that will fit either model. Finally, in my experience, the white repro PO8 grips shown, that will not fit your grip safety model anyway, usually are undersized and will be VERY LOOSE on most lugers anyway. TH

FGS, has repoduction grips, 1900, 1906, and mauser.

The Laser cut Grips from Numrich are really nice and fit well for $39.00 .
No overhang ,or thick places and the Checkering is really nice.

George, no screw holes in your grips?

pipeman45 12-27-2009 10:12 PM

I have purchased a couple of sets of stag grips from this seller.
Never ask if he had any for a Luger. You can check, he has always answered my questions before.

Mike, If you have a non-grip safety frame, I recently acquired a couple of exc sets of the M24 type Swiss grips with the smooth borders @$50/set + $6 S&H. TH
