Mag problem
 

I have a 1917 luger and the mag seems to be binding and not letting the round come up any help ou there Thanks

Try spraying the inside of the magazine with silicone. Use the type that produces a white foam. (Gunk brand is good.)

If that does not cure the problem, or if it doesn't at least help, then it may be that your magazine spring is weak. You did not mention if your magazine is proper for your 1917; however, the proper magazine will have a wood bottom.

There is no unanimous agreement among collectors about a "do it yourself" job of changing this spring. Personally, I'd rather send it to Luger Doc on this Forum, and have him replace it for me. My tolerance for the risk of breaking something like that little wooden plug is low. Some of the members of this Forum will tell you to leave that to a professional who knows what they are doing.

Alternatively, since you are actually using it to shoot with, it might be better to order a new MecGar brand magazine from Luger Doc. That way you will have a top quality dependable magazine and not have to be concerned about breaking a collectable magazine, etc.

Well I guess its not original because its not wood it is probably from the 50's and it seems kind of cheap, how do I get a hold of doc to get a replacment Thanks
