7.62 x 25 at JG Sales
 

I just got this catalog from JG Sales in the mail...

Now, before someone speaks up, let me say that I DO NOT recommend anyone firing these in any pistol...as is...

But here in these cartridges we have the raw materials for 7.65 Luger as well as 7.63 Mauser...if you reload...

The bullets are OK, the powder would need to be emptied (and destroyed IMHO) and the cases re-formed...

The re-forming for 7.65 Luger is not at all difficult; trimming the 25mm cases to .849", lubing & running them through a 30 Luger full-length reloading die, then trimming again to .849" works quite well...

Forming for 7.63 Mauser is not required, but running them through the 30 Mauser full length reloading die and checking OAL is always a good idea...

The best part of these cartridges is that the bullets and cases are together and the Wolf cartridges have Boxer [reloadable] primers...the Polish and Romanian probably have Berdan [hard to reload]...and 4 0f the 5 bullets are FMJ...

50 rounds for $20 is the same as I pay for Remington 38 Super, so I think these are a good deal...if you don't mind a little extra work...

I think the Polish and Romanian berdan primers are corrosiv.
Immediate cleaning after shooting is strongly recommended.

Ordered a bullet speed meter. Hopefully, it will arrive next week before Thanksgiving, so I can measure the speed of DWM 403, PRVI, Italian, various kinds of CZ, Yugo, Romanian, Russian, Chinese etc, .30 caliber ammo in a pistol.

Still need to find a cheap gun for this purpose. Probably a CZ-52, or Romanian TT-33. Not sure yet, whichever comes cheaper.

J&G have Yugo M57 7.62 x 25 w/mag used for $199.95 in their Oct/Nov flyer...Looks like Tokarev but longer grip (one extra cartridge)...

Yugoslavian Tokarev M57 TT semi auto M-57 pistol chambered for 7.62x25. These are blued with a Yugoslavian crest on the slide and come with one spare magazine, a used holster, and a cleaning rod. The pistols will show some finish wear and will come covered in a generous amount of cosmoline. In overall very good condition. Hand select pistols are available for and additional $10, just select your option from the drop down menu below. The importer has informed us that they are C&R eligible.

These pistols do not accept standard TTC Tokarev magazines.

What's wrong with any of that ammo or powder? The Polish and Romanian milsurp is excellent shooting ammo for any 7.62x25 Tokarev pistol or SMG.

Sorry; I should have been more clear...I was referring to resizing these cartridges to use in 7.65 Luger or as-is in 7.63 Mauser Broomhandle...but not with the powder charge supplied...and not with the primers supplied...

In other words, it's a convenient way to get formed 7.63 Mauser brass for reloading...and 7.65 Luger brass with a bit of shortening and full length resizing...

Some here have mentioned it is hard/impossible to find 7.65 Luger/7.63 Mauser brass...and/or 85 gr FMJ bullets...
