A 'colt' owned luger??

This might be old hat, but on GUNSAMERICA #947638709 It list a Artillery Luger, with letter from Colt stating that this was Colt owned/tested and marked. But when? The letter states ship date as Feb 11 1992! Was this was when Colt let the Luger go? It would be intresting history if Colt did own and test this Luger. It seems it would be one of a kind for sure seeing Colts and Lugers are the most collected autos, rivals so to speak and Colt actully owned one.

Not hard to believe. I've seen several different guns marked "WCC" from Winchester Cartridge Co. for testing of their ammo. TH

MMM??? Would those 'non-original' factory marking tend to hurt or enhance a Lugers value or collectability? Seems as if it would.

In this case, with the provenance, it will not hurt the collectibility, but will actually increase it (a bit).
