Erma Werkes .32 ACP/380 Auto
 

Gentlemen, I come once again asking for your input on Erma "Lugers" in .32 and 380. What are their good and bad. I have read other post on the .22 and the majority were negative but I haven't seen anything on the .32 or 380. They seem to be much sturdier than the .22 on the surface and don't look like they were made fron stamped steel. I have yet to fire one but they do look good for their size and as a potential conceal carry. Any input is appreciated!:thumbup:

ANY Luger should be your last choice as a concealed carry gun.......

A .380 carry gun you should consider a Kel-Tec P3AT, Ruger LCP, Bersa (looks like a PPK) or even a recent PPK produced by Smith.

I have owned / fired them all and I like the Ruger LCP as a daily carry.

I only carry a .380 when I can't carry a .45 compact.

I carry the Kel Tec P3AT here in broiling South Florida. I won't carry the Ruger because it is basically a direct Kel Tec rippoff, (I can't believe there is no lawsuit over this) and because I refuse to buy any Ruger products after their support of hicap magazine bans and other freedom restricting issues.
I agree with Matt that when possible, I carry a custom Kimber combat .45 or other big bore auto.

That's true, they would be more of a collector item. That's another perspective I should have look into. Thanks

I like the Beretta Model 84 in .380 Caliber with its 13 round mag.

Good one too. I like the firepower but just too heavy for shorts and a T shirt here in So. Fla.

Just my opinion, but if you're going to carry something as large as a Beretta Model 84, why not choose a compact pistol in a more proven caliber

Erma .380? A brick is cheaper and more accurate. Bricks don't jam but are only single shot:roflmao: but then again so is the Erma. I use mine to call the cat in, :rolleyes: in that aspect it's been useful. CCW? :nono: I wouldn't trust my life with it.



Want a good carry? Buy a CZ-82. They're not very expensive (C&R), fire HP, don't jam, and very accurate. It shoots a 9mm MAK round in a 12 round magazine. Mine put 10 rounds at 20 meters in a 2.5 inch circle. If it's confiscated or abused by LEOs, you're not out a mint. Do yourself a favor and google it. SOG, J&G and AIM sells them with accesories for around $200, which is allot cheaper than that piece of Erma. :thumbup:
